Bio
I'll be honest - I never really know what to write in this section. It feels weird to list my "accomplishments" in a blog setting. This isn't a job interview, after all... But in case anyone is interested, here are some highlights:
- I have a BA in Music Education and an MA in Music - Choral Conducting.
- I've studied classical violin, classical voice, jazz voice, and choral conducting.
- I've taught in some capacity for over 15 years (music - both in schools and private lessons, drama, and foreign languages).
- Musically, I feel like I've done it all - from playing on a worship team to conducting on stage with the Rolling Stones. I've played in symphony orchestras, sung in choirs, performed all over the world, conducted master works, and taught preschool, and everything in between. It's been one crazy musical journey!
- I recently left the classroom to stay at home with my young daughter. I consider myself extremely blessed to have the option to stay home with her, and I'm cherishing every moment. Meanwhile, I'm still teaching lessons and creating content for Teachers Pay Teachers and this blog.
